Nomination Endorsement
To: NCC Council of 56 Clubs
From: Dawn Campbell
Former Department 56 Representative, Director Department 56 Showroom
Atlanta, GA
Regarding: Nomination of Kirk Wyllie for Vice President
Date: 17 August 2009
It is with pride and honor that I write this letter in support of the
nomination of Kirk for the position of Vice President of the NCC.
As a former Department 56 Representative and current . . ., I can say
that I have met very few people with the knowledge, passion and caring
for the collecting of Villages that Kirk possesses.
Kirk’s knowledge of the products within the various Villages is
extraordinary. He makes it his goal to know as much as he can to be able
to talk to anyone at anytime about any of the Villages. This is part of
his passion. He does not feel that one Village is better than the other
and likes to help others enjoy the diversity of the Villages as they fit
each individual’s personality.
There are not many in the same class as Kirk when it comes to passion.
His attention to detail in his displays, his willingness and desire to
share his ideas, and his uncompromising attitude to help others get the
most of their displaying is contagious. Kirk ALWAYS compliments and
encourages others. Whenever other folks ask Kirk about their display,
Kirk’s first question always is “Do you like it? That is all that
matters. “Kirk’s goal always has been to make people find their own way
to enjoy and be proud of their Villages.
As President and Vice President of the Windy City 56ers, active member
of the Ducky 56ers and Wacky Willagers and leader in the Chicago 2004
and 2006 Gatherings, Kirk’s goal has been and continues to be the
promotion, enhancement and understanding of Villages. His topics of
presentation have ranged from product introductions, display techniques
and general knowledge and information. Dispelling rumors, clarifying
information and encouraging others is the ultimate goal.
Finally, Kirk cares for his Village, and that of others, more than most.
Always encouraging the excitement of collecting, the joy that it brings
to one’s self and to others and spreading this desire everywhere he
goes. He carries pictures of his Village with him all of the time just
waiting for the opportunity to talk about it with anyone.
I encourage all NCC members to elect Kirk to the position of Vice
President. He will be an asset, a cheerleader and supportive leader.
